This ride is part of the Art of Survival Century. Starting in Dorris looping out by Sheep Mountain and the Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge.
Ball Mountain - Martins Dairy
Martin’s Dairy is a peaceful, high mountain campground on the Little Shasta River. The Goosenest District is quickly becoming the area for mountain biking in the Klamath National Forest.

China Grade Road - Happy Camp
This ride follows the Klamath River on the far side. There is less than 10 cabins or ranches on the entire ride. This trip has a few elevation gains and descents.

Rest Rm at Ft. Jones Chevron & at Shell Station in Etna. The old bowling alley across the street from the Chevron station makes a good starting place for cyclists, as there is plenty of parking for you and any buddies you might bring along.
Gateway Trails
Named the Gateway Trail because it offers access to the forest from town, the shared-use trail is open to mountain bikers, hikers, runners, dog walkers, and equestrians. According to the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), Gateway Trails are a class of trails that “position standout facilities in places where lots of people can experience the joy of mountain biking.”

Juanita Lake - Meiss Ranch
The best access to this loop is probably from Juanita Lake, where you start by heading south for a couple miles on the Juanita Lake road. Turn left onto gated, off-road 46n02. This is a two tracker dirt road offering 3 miles of easy-cursing downhill pleasure. These are excellent views of the Butte Valley, with occasional views of Mount Shasta.

Klamath River Trail Loop
The Klamath River Trail is a nine mile loop first that passes through an old growth forest of Douglas fir, pine, madrone, and numerous species of oak, then traverses the inner Gorge of the Klamath River. Highlights of the trail are old growth Klamath-Siskiyou mixed evergreen forest types, stunning views of the Klamath River gorge and Klamath River, the feeling of being perched on a ledge, and an epic adrenalin-inducing ride across the Klamath River inner Gorge on a narrow trail. This ride is for experienced mountain-bikers only.

Lake Siskiyou Loop
Lake Siskiyou is located in Northern California at the foot of the Trinity Divide. It has amazing views of Mount Shasta and is not far from the city that boasts many outdoor activities. Swimming, boating, fishing and picnicking are some of the things you can do on and around the lake. The Lake Siskiyou trail goes around the lake offering camping and wonderful hiking trails. This trail is the least wild trail in Mount Shasta, but it is just as beautiful and has amazing views of Mount Shasta, Mount Eddy and Battle Rock, the high point of the Castle Crags.

Sisson Callahan
The Sisson Callahan National Recreation Trail can be accessed from Deadfall Meadows Trailhead or Bear Creek Trailhead. Both trail access points have hike-a-bike ascents, multiple stream crossings, flowy and technical descents, and world class views. The downhill ends at the North Fork of the Upper Sacramento River which must be crossed and then meets a fire road which takes riders down to Lake Siskiyou. Lake Siskiyou is 3 miles from downtown Mt Shasta.
